I have a few news worthy things to write about.

Firstly, our cat had kittens...just 2 thank God!

I stupidly thought that she had a bad case of round worms and had started treating her for that!

The other news is that Tim has come home.  He was gone for 6 weeks.  Anyways, we are still going to counseling
and so I am hoping for the best.

  • A Survey
Just a nice little survey to serve as an introduction to who I am :)
    Snagged from another momaroo user.

    1. How many kids do you have?
    Five

    2. Their age(s)?
    23, 20, 10(soon to be 11),9 & 7

    3. Boy or girl?
the three oldest are girls, then a boy, then another girl

    4. Are you with their father?
Yes, we will be married 28 this coming October.  But we are going thru a very hard time, anyone who send up a prayer for us and especially the children I would be grateful and thankful.

    5. Were you ready for kids?
I was ready for #1 and sorta kinda for #2 & 3&4, but #5 was a total surprise

    6. What do you think is the best age gap between kids?
I was under the impression that for myself 2 1/2 or 3 year gap is good, now I see it doesn't matter!

    7. How long have you changed diapers?
Oh Gosh...with five Kids!  I couldn't name the number or years even!

    8. What is one thing you gave up after being a parent?
I wasn't just me or a wife anymore, I was a mother and somewhere in there you can lose yourself....not sure if I answered that correctly

    9. What is one thing you gained after being a parent?
Being a mom is what I wanted since I have memory of my childhood, one thing though, is a bond with their father that became deeper...

    10. If you could go back and do it differently, would you?
In a sense no, but I wouldn't want such a huge gap between Mandy(20) and Rebekah who is soon to be 11.

    11. Are you going to have any more kids?
No, I think after Abbie I just had the feeling there weren't going to be anymore and then I had issues with my uterus and had to have it removed so that about did it for us.

    12. Have you let yourself go after having kids?
No, I don't believe myself to vain, but even though my body is not what I wish it could be, I still get up in the morning, shower and try to wear clothes that are in fashion...I try anyways!

    13. Do you still secretly wear your maternity clothes because they fit?
No, and never did! Even though they did still fit...

    14. Do you have stretch marks?
No and you would think that I would after 5 pregnancies

    15. Are you happy with your body?
For right now, yes. I want to lose a bit more weight, but all in all, I'm ok with it.

    16. What do your kids call you?
    Mom

    17. Do you spank?
I did spank, but only in times of true rebellion and it was very controlled thanks to my husband that believed that you never spank when you are angry or frustrated.  By the time my children reached age 5-6, spanking was a thing of the past.

    18. Do you stay at home or go to school/work?
I worked for a while when Angie and Mandy were little, but not for long.  I now homeschool full time and am a stay home mom

    19. Are you happy as a mother?
Yes, but I always feel like I'm not the best mother I could be...so I try

    20. Advice to other parents?
While they are infants and toddlers hold them as much as you can.  You can not spoil a child by hold them close to you.  Breastfeeding can be hard at first, don't give up, once you and the baby gets the hang of it, the pain is less on the bond can not compare with anything I can think of.  When your lil one says, "mommy look at..." stop what you are doing and look, because you may lose a precious memory and it will show them that they are more important then the dishes...I could go on...having been a mother for 23 years, but these are good I think, eh?

I'm having a hard time finding people from my area..... I guess it doesn't really matter.  This isn't proving to be as much fun as xanga right now as I only have one subscriber thus far!

The weather here is ridiculously hot.  Its supposed to be something like in the high 90*'s which for June is way too hot.

This time last year we were preparing for my second daughter, Mandy's wedding.  I can't believe its been a year already!

So much is happening right now that I could write a book.  Not good things either, which really sucks.  But I still have my kids.

In case anyone is curious, I homeschool my 3 youngest, after having homeschooled my 2 eldest.  My 3 youngest were born at home also, which was really cool!

    This is Joshua, 9
